The Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietal is widely planted across South Australia's premium wine regions, particularly in the Limestone Coast where grapes with tremendous structure and beautiful aromatics are found. Well-regarded since its launch in 2002, the Koonunga Hill Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the merits of multi-regional blending to Penfolds 'House Style'. A bold, full bodied wine displaying lovely aromatics, excellent structure, and great length.

Since its inception, Penfolds Koonunga Hill has always aimed to deliver quality, value and consistency. The original 1976 Koonunga Hill Claret is a legendary wine that is still drinking well today. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. Shiraz from the warmer districts of South Australia is carefully blended, with the Barossa Valley always well represented. Ripe plum, blueberry & sweet spice - undeniably South Australian Shiraz. The palate shows flint, liquorice, smoked meat & paprika. Integrated tannins remind us of the wine's place in the Penfolds family.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet is a reflection of the Penfolds winemaking style and philosophy. Sourced from premium vineyards across South Australia, the wine is known for its full-flavoured style with excellent Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, firm yet well-rounded structure and balanced oak. Made as a traditional 'Australian blend', the Shiraz component provides fleshy fruit flavour while Cabernet Sauvignon provides a frame of fine grained tannins. Date, boysenberry & sweet cinnamon abound. Pair with grilled meats, lamb chops or charcuterie.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

A tribute to the Barossa's winemaking heritage, Pepperjack is crafted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Winemaker Richard Mattner - a born-and-bred Barossa local - loves making Pepperjack wines as much as he loves drinking them, especially alongside a great steak. As he says: "Why would I need anything else?" Deep dark red with a vibrant purple rim, the nose bursts with rich aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, mocha, and spice. The palate is plush and layered, delivering concentrated dark fruits, fine tannins, and a soft, lingering finish. Pepperjack Shiraz is a true Barossa classic.

Each vineyard contributes its own distinctive character, creating a rich and layered Shiraz bursting with vibrant plum, raspberry and dark cherry flavours, complemented by hints of mocha, spice and subtle oak. Silky tannins and a plush, full-bodied palate deliver a classic Barossa Shiraz with remarkable depth, balance and a long, satisfying finish.

Inspired by the people and moments that shaped Peter Lehmann's remarkable life, The Master's Collection Eight Songs Shiraz pays tribute to one of his favourite musical works, 'Eight Songs for a Mad King'. Crafted as a distinctive expression of Barossa Shiraz and matured for 18 months in French oak, this elegant wine offers fragrant aromas of satsuma plum, blueberry and cedar. A richly textured palate of ripe plum and dark chocolate unfolds into a long, savoury finish, creating a wine of depth, character and lasting appeal.

Named in honour of founder Peter Lehmann, whose 50-year career shaped generations of winemakers, The Master's Collection Mentor Cabernet Sauvignon represents the finest expression of the Barossa vintage. Sourced from select vineyards across the region, including low-yielding old vines, it delivers exceptional depth and varietal character. Released with five years of bottle age, this limited-release Cabernet reveals layered aromas of blackcurrant, dark plum, vanilla and chocolate, while its rich fruit, fine French oak and silky tannins create a beautifully balanced wine with outstanding ageing potential.
